Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Elis Taylor is an American stage and screen actress and producer. Her most well-known work is as a film actress for her role on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She graduated with a B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in theater, film and television. Her career began in theater and later appeared in a number of shows on television as well as independent and mainstream movies. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with high praise but also received a host of awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. She made her professional debut in the role of Ariel on the stage in The Tempest in 1995. On Broadway she was a part of the cast as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In terms of her work in the film industry the most recognizable roles she has played include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. Her role on television in the ABC's crime drama series High Incident has earned her praises.
